What is Months on Hand? When looking at the performance of Real Estate in certain areas of Columbus, you might think looking at the number of homes sold would give you all of the details you would need to know. Actually, the best indicator of market conditions is MONTHS ON HAND (MOH). MOH is the number of homes ACTIVE on the market divided by the number of homes that were SOLD. In theory, if no new homes were to come onto the market and homes remained selling at the same rate, in the indicated number of months, homes would sell out.
